Long time season ticket holder of a grandfathered weekend plan. I am looking for a season ticket partner for the 2020 season. Great seats on the aisle in Loge Box 160 Row LL. Easy access to concessions and rest room.

You will get 2 seats per game. You will have to take games in all months April through September and some Sunday games will be ESPN Sunday Night start times. The prices noted are the face value season ticket holder prices. The Red Sox season ticket partner board sets a minimum purchase of 8 games so you will need to buy at least 8 games up to a full 14 game package share.

This grandfathered plan gets access to buy all post season home games (ALDS, ALCS, World Series). Note that for this season ticket plan the Red Sox relocate plan holders to the bleachers for the post season and the seat assignment is at their discretion. With a full 14 game share we would split the post season with the understanding that there may be an uneven split if all home games in a series are not played. I'd also like to work out that if there was to be a series deciding World Series Game at Fenway that we would each take a single so that we could both be there for it. With less than a 14 game share I will offer you one ALDS game with an 8 game purchase or with a 12 game purchase one ALDS and one ALCS game. As the Red Sox use tiered pricing your cost will be determined by the face value of the ticket for the games you attend. The cost for the 14 games will be $3180. Less than 14 games the total price will be based on the number of games purchased at the season ticket face value for each game.

This interface could use a little work ... I just found some responses that you wrote that I have never seen before. Oh well. Did you figure out the price you would have to pay? I am very interested, although I see some other pretty good options. My pros: I love your seats. I love that the weekend plan. The cons: I would prefer more night games. I guess that's the weekend game schedule. I bring it up in case you actually prefer day games and only took night games to make it fair. The other slight problem for me is that I'm a couple of hours away, so it might be nice to have some double game weekends and skip some others. I'm curious about how you feel about that. Will you lose this grandfathered plan if you don't renew it tomorrow? That would be a shame if it's the case! I presume you can't just sell it someone to keep it active? Anyway, I'm curious to know your thoughts ...
  • Sorry about this but in the end I have decided that I am not going to renew. Considering that you may want to make adjustments to the available games there just is not enough time to try to work things out with you. If I were to renew and then you decide to go with another option that you are seeing I will be committed to the entire plan which I am not wanting to do. I had a 30 year run and 4 World series teams so I've got no complaints. Good luck there are many listings on the season ticket share board I'm sure you'll find something that works for you.

I should be able to make the offer tomorrow, by this time (6pm). Do any benefits come with these grandfathered tickets (early entry mostly)? Would I have to take all 14 games? I want to anyway, but I may have some conflicts. Will most of the TBD game times be night games? Any idea why the July 11th game vs. the Orioles is the most expensive game of the season?
  • I'll get back to you tomorrow. There is a chance that I may not get my season ticket discount price because I did not renew by 12/18. I let early renewal pass because I didn't have a potential partner to split the plan with. If they will not give me the renewal discount then I probably will not renew them unless you are willing to pay a little extra this season and then going forward knowing I have someone to split the plan I'll be able to do the early pay renewal. This plan is a 28 game package and I prefer that you take the 14 games even split. If you have conflicts I can work with you on the games that I have allocated for your split as long as the 14 games you take are spread out through all months of the season April to September. If you take less then that will affect the playoff split. 14 games I'll split all playoff games. 10 or 11 games I'll give you access to one ALDS game. 12 or 13 games one ALDS game and one ALCS game. I believe that with all season ticket plans you have early entry 2.5 hours before game and you can access Green Monster seat area to watch batting practice. The Red Sox have designated 7/11 as a Tier 1 priced game ony they know why but my guess is that it is a prime summer Saturday date. For TBD games look at Red Sox schedule on their web site all games have a time now except for 8/2 Yankees. If Red Sox are in the division/playoff race I would expect that to be an ESPN night game starting at 7:10.

I am very interested. Two days isn't much time though. What do we need to do?
  • I understand that 2 days is not much time. Again to emphasize I really need you to be committed to this as I have to renew in 2 days but I can wait on you to make the offer. When do you think that will be? Before we do anything I need to actually renew the tickets as the Red Sox will not allow you to make an offer to me until the tickets are renewed. After that is done you would need to make an offer on them. I would then have to accept the offer. Once that is all done then we will be allowed to get each other's contact info to arrange for payment. I prefer Venmo but I can also accept Paypal Friends Or Family.

I am absolutely interested. I'm not sure I can get it together in 2 days though ... but I think I can. is there a way we can communicate that is more private?
  • The way that this season ticket share board works does not allow for contact information to be exchanged until you have made an offer and I have accepted it. For now the only thing we can do is communicate mutual interest through this board without the ability to exchange contact info. If you need more time than 2 days to get it together then that is fine you can make your offer when you are ready to do so and then we can go from there. But can you tell me how close to 100% I can count on you to do this. As I said I was not planning to renew and my renewing decision will be based on getting you as a partner. I also have to see if my renewal price changes. Early pay deadline was 12/18. But my renewal price in my account still reflects the early pay discount so I need to find out from my season ticket rep if I still get my discount if I renew now. I can find that out tomorrow.

Are these available for the 2020 (and beyond) season?
  • Hi Robert If we were to enter into an agreement then yes I will continue to renew beyond 2020. Please note that Wednesday 1/15 is the final deadline for me to renew my tickets for 2020. Up until now I have been unsuccessful finding a partner so I have been planning on giving them up so if you have serious interest we need to move on this asap. I will not be renewing if we are unable to come to an agreement.

Do the tickets include Friday night games?
  • Friday games are not included. This is a grandfathered weekend package that the Red Sox used to sell. Only Saturday and Sunday games are in the package.

Hi there - interested in your seats. Would be willing to buy at least half of games if available. I am new to this concept - so if you could please provide me with additional details, that would be great. Do I make you an offer? Do I choose games? Do you provide me with a list of available games? Those types of questions. Thanks so much. My name is Joe Giannino.
  • Hi Joe I will answer your questions best I can but I suggest that you click on Help on the top right of the listing screen and then click on "Making Offers And Agreements" which will answer your questions. You have asked about purchasing half of the games. I have 8 games listed so if you are asking to buy 4 then that complicates things but I think it can be done. The Red Sox require that you make an offer through this system on 8 games minimum and they do not give us contact info until we have a tentative agreement. So if you only want 4 games you would still need to choose all 8 games that I have listed in order for us to get contact info to communicate directly. When I accept your offer you would have to pay the Red Sox a $2.50 per ticket service fee on all 8 games and then with the tentative agreement the Red Sox will give each of us contact info and then we can communicate directly to work something out on less than 8 games. Let me know if you want to proceed.
